FtB is a boutique financial services consultancy focussed on strategy and transformation. It was formed in 2004 by a group of former BT Financial Group executives with senior management experience in technology, operations, re-engineering and accounting functions.
Specialising in advising on strategy and implementing transformation programs, FtB’s front to back office footprint is focussed on wealth management, investment banking, including foreign exchange and derivatives and insurance services. We have successfully completed assignments for all but one of the top five financial groups in Australia together with other leading global and niche firms in Australia and South Africa.
Hunter is the founder of FtB and previously an Executive Vice President with BT Financial Group. A Chartered Accountant with over 25 years wealth management experience, his expertise covers platforms, registries, asset management, strategy, program management, due diligence, transition and organisational change management.
Margaret is a Chartered Accountant and Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Previously an executive vice president with Bankers Trust with over 25 years wealth and investment banking experience across strategy, operations, technology, accounting, tax, risk and compliance.
Jade has over 20 years of experience in banking and finance throughout Asia Pacific. He was previously the CFO for ANZ's Institutional business covering Asia Pacific, Europe and America . He has also worked in COO, Business Management and CFO roles at J P Morgan, Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley.
Geoff has a Bachelor of Business and CPA with 26 years investment banking and wealth management experience. A former director of ABN Amro (Aust) and Vice President of Bankers Trust Australia Ltd, Geoff has both extensive investment banking experience with a deep understanding of financial instruments and extensive life company, annuities and superannuation experience including finance, operations, risk management and controls.
David has an MBA, a Phd (Engineering) and BE with over 25 years consulting experience across many industry sectors including financial services, ecommerce, resources and manufacturing. Previously with McKinsey and GM for Corporate Development within CSR, he has extensive experience in strategy, operational improvement, organisation and change management.
Jim is a Chartered Accountant with a Masters of Management and over 20 years finance industry experience including platforms, client services, investment accounting and tax, strategy, operations, change and project management. He has extensive working knowledge of both front and back office capabilities, managed account structures and how to integrate and transform wealth management platforms while leading dedicated specialist teams through the process.
John was formerly Head of IT Strategy and Architecture at Perpetual and has over 20 years technology experience including in a consulting capacity to global and local firms in Australia over the past 11 years. John has extensive experience within wealth management and having completed multiple enterprise and data architecture consulting engagements .He has worked extensively in Silicon Valley and was the chief architect for the Swiss Stock Exchange System. More recently he has been consulting on the establishment of the ChiX exchange in Australia.
Colin has an MBA, a Masters of Management and a Bachelor of Business combined with 20 years experience in the finance industry. Previously a Vice President with JP Morgan responsible for Asia Pacific Client Technology, Colin has worked across many areas of wealth management including platforms, product, custody and operational transformations often covering the management of business and technology projects specialising in back office re-engineering and the recovery of projects in distress.
Charles has a Bachelor of Business and CPA with 22 years wealth management experience covering accounting, taxation, and operations across a wide range of financial products in banking, wealth and insurance. He has extensive organisational change experience with strong cash, managed fund and wrap expertise and high systems and operational literacy together with a keen understanding into how they interplay across functional business lines.
